The Impact of Cyber Security on Preventing and Mitigating Electronic Crimes in the Jordanian Banking Sector

As technology advances and cyber threats continue to evolve, security professionals play a critical role in developing implementing robust measures, staying ahead of potential risks, mitigating the impact incidents. Many studies have examined on banks, without focusing electronic crimes. Despite its importance, best our knowledge, there are no crimes banking sector. Therefore, purpose this study is ascertain how affects Jordanian industry. The sample consisted 270 senior managers employees who understand importance sector 14 commercial listed Amman stock exchange. used SPSS evaluate banks can enhance network infrastructure prevent unauthorized access data breaches also find out cybersecurity granting competitive advantage banks. A relative index (RII) was conducted rank variables’ statements test hypotheses. results found most important method through which effectively mitigate risk ensure customers’ financial that utilize encryption technologies protection customer while it being transmitted when stored (RII=0.740).
